Constellation Oval — 7-Globe, Opal & Brass

Seven opal globes in four sizes, hung at seven different heights from a 120 cm oval brass plate. Over a long table it does what a row of identical pendants cannot: it fills the space without turning into a fence.

Sizes run from 12 cm to 22 cm and the drops from 40 cm to 110 cm, set so the largest globes sit lowest and towards the middle. It reads as a loose group rather than an arrangement, which is harder to do than it sounds and is the reason the canopy is oval rather than rectangular.

Hang the lowest globe about 70 cm above the table. Total output is 21 W, so treat it as the mood layer and put the working light elsewhere.
