Shard Linear — 10-Drop Bar

A 120 cm bronze bar with ten crystals hung below it in two staggered rows. This is the island light — long enough to cover a run of worktop, shallow enough not to block the view across it.

Two rows rather than one is the whole point. A single row of drops lights a stripe; two rows offset from each other spread the light across the full depth of a standard 90 cm island and stop the shadow lines you get from a row of point sources.

Hang it 75 to 80 cm above the worktop. The bar takes a single ceiling feed but has two fixing points, so it needs a joist or noggin at both ends — worth checking before you order.
