Shard Chandelier — 10-Drop Square

The same ten crystals as the round chandelier on a square canopy, which matters more than it sounds. Over a square or rectangular table a round canopy leaves the corners dark; this one does not.

Drops are staggered across the plate rather than ringed, so from directly below you see depth instead of a grid. The canopy is a single 45 cm plate — one fixing point, one hole in the ceiling.

Hang it 75 to 85 cm above the tabletop. Higher and it stops lighting the table; lower and the people opposite each other lose eye contact, which is the usual complaint about a chandelier over a dining table.
